A partnership between State Farm Agents and the UNG Mike Cottrell College of Business
"Good Neighbors Make Great Partners" is an initiative led by State Farm Agents to deepen engagement with the University of North Georgia's Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB).
The partnership began in 2022 with a shared goal: branding the Sales Lab in UNG's new business building on the Dahlonega campus with the State Farm name — a milestone we celebrated on September 29, 2022.
Since then, State Farm Agents have become true partners in developing MCCB's next generation of business talent. Over the life of the partnership, participating agents have contributed $131,500 in support of the College and its students, and have funded more than 20 scholarships for students in sales, entrepreneurship, and risk management.
Now entering Year 5 (August 2026 – June 2027), we're looking for 4 State Farm Agents to continue the momentum. Each partner contributes $1,250, matched with an additional $1,250, for a total gift of $2,500.
The deadline to join the partnership for this academic year is August 31, 2026.
Funds raised support:
State Farm Scholarships for students in sales, entrepreneurship, and risk management
A table at MCCB career fairs on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses for our SF Partner Agents
The MCCB Sales Program and UNG Sales Club
The annual State Farm Agents Networking Event with MCCB students
Guest speakers for the Risk Management & Insurance class

State Farm Matching Gift
Associates to be good neighbors by giving back to their communities. The Matching Gift Program will match the tax deductible portions of donations to charitable organizations up to a maximum of up to $4,500 per calendar year. Please select University of North Georgia Foundation (Tax #23-7066297) from the list and designate gift to the State Farm Agents' Partnership Fund.
